Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist

Clinical Nurse Specialists play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centric care to individuals in community mental health settings. They are responsible for providing advanced practice nursing care using evidence-based practices and critical thinking to advocate for and implement personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level using best practice evidence and collaborating with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide clinical leadership support and supervision for less experienced clinicians to achieve person-focused quality care
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in Mental Health with a minimum of three years' experience in the clinical specialty
- Demonstrated competencies and knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in providing specialty nursing care in a multidisciplinary context
- Ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision making and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement
This role requires strong communication skills collaboration with other professionals to provide comprehensive care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mentally unwell patients and a passion for delivering high-quality care that is tailored to meet individual needs.
