Clinical Nurse Specialist Role

Our team seeks a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional person-centred specialist nursing care using evidence-based practice at an extended role level.
  • Lead and support the development of nursing specialty practice advancement within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Exercise autonomy in clinical decision making, leadership and communication to deliver quality nursing care.
  • Maintain competence in mental health skills through ongoing professional development and commitment to quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in Mental Health.
  • Minimum three years' experience in the clinical specialty with demonstrated competencies and knowledge of complexities involved in providing specialty nursing care.
  • Ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision making and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
  • Effective clinical communication, strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise, delegate and negotiate with others.
