Mental Health Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a community setting, providing clinical services to individuals with mental illness, distress, and risk issues.
As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for assessing, caring for, intervening, liaising, and reviewing services for clients. Your primary focus will be on conducting mental health assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications, current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist. Experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice is essential, along with a strong understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and provide evidence-based interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Collaborate effectively with consumers, their families, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist.
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice.
