Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our health, safety, and wellbeing strategy across major infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in developing and implementing safety strategies aligned with business objectives.

This is a 12-month contract position that offers a competitive hourly rate and flexible location in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the development of best practice standards across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and support safety teams across regions.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
  • Manage regulatory compliance and reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and operational teams to influence safety outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Work Health and Safety (WHS) with a minimum of 10 years' experience within construction, heavy infrastructure, or heavy mining. A diploma or higher-level qualification in WHS is essential, along with Tier 1 experience and ICAM certification.

Additional requirements include a strong site-based HSE experience, solid knowledge of QHSE processes and relevant Australian WHS legislation, and a proven commitment to compliance with OH&S legislation and best practices.
