Safety and Environmental Leader

This is a pivotal leadership role that oversees the safety, security, and environmental functions across the organization. As a strategic and operational leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored frameworks, procedures, policies, and programs to minimize risk and enhance environmental performance.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of applicable regulatory requirements, including legislation, national and international standards, and codes of practice. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to model best practice health and safety leadership and provide guidance and support to stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Developing and implementing health and safety strategies and plans
- Liaising with stakeholders, including managers, frontline supervisors, and WHS committee representatives
- Leading audits and investigations into incidents and hazards
- Overseeing the development and implementation of environmental strategies and policies
Required Skills and Qualifications

- A strong background in health and safety, with experience in leading teams and managing complex projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
