Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to drive the growth of our laboratory in Victoria. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for broadening your existing network, sourcing and engaging with key personnel, developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, maintaining strong industry relationships, and overseeing the management of a small team.

About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to build a business from scratch, leveraging their existing network to establish a solid client base and source the right personnel to grow our presence and capabilities in Victoria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Broaden your existing network to establish a strong client base.
  • Source and engage with key personnel to support business growth.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive business expansion.
  • Maintain strong industry relationships and networks.
  • Oversee the management of a small team (if applicable).
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the Construction Materials Testing Industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Construction Materials Testing Industry.
  • Knowledge of the Industry/players/pricing (client management).
  • A proven track record in business development and sales contacting.
  • Familiarity with Vic Main Roads.
  • Ability to build and grow a start-up business.
  • Civil Construction background.
  • Strong work ethic.

An Engineering or Geotechnical qualification will be looked upon favourably.

We are a multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy providing services and solutions to the development, property, and urban infrastructure sectors. We have established ourselves as a leader in the industry, employing around 130 people across SA, VIC, and NSW. Our laboratory services operate nationwide, delivering timely and dependable results and clear advice to clients in the building, construction, earth moving industries, quarries, and premix concrete suppliers.

We are now looking to expand our soils testing laboratory into Melbourne.
