Job Opportunity

Lead a critical role in CARE’s program portfolio, driving strategic objectives and overseeing grant management, project coordination, and team collaboration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of projects and programs within a defined portfolio.
  • Collaboration with country offices, units, and departments on grant, program, and project implementation.
  • Developing effective partnerships that align with CARE Australia’s principles and promote locally-led approaches.
  • Grant/program/project planning and implementation, including periodic reviews, reflections, learning processes, stakeholder engagement, and sharing/reporting.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders, representation of CARE Australia, and coordination with external parties as needed.
  • Active participation in program development, concept note production, proposal development, budget creation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensuring all programs incorporate CP/PSHEA risk management and mitigations to ensure participant and community safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in International Relations or equivalent field experience.
  • Experience working in international or community development and/or humanitarian sectors with local partners, project operations, MEAL, and program quality.
  • Desirable: experience in the Pacific, ANCP grant management, gender, disability, and inclusion integration across project implementation.
  • Effective communication skills in cross-cultural environments, including English language proficiency.
  • Strong time management skills with remote work capability and consultative approach.
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a small, geographically dispersed team.
