About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Disability Support Worker in Cairns. As a key member of our community, you will work closely with individuals to support their daily living needs and enable them to reach their goals.

Job Description

We are seeking physically fit and active individuals who can develop positive relationships with our participants. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting people with daily activities, such as personal hygiene and dressing tasks.
  • Facilitating daily routines, including food preparation and housework.
  • Providing emotional support and friendship.
  • SUPPORTING CLIENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN AGE-APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES AND TASKS.
  • Supporting clients to access activities and outings in the community.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work with children with disabilities.
  • Able to acquire NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Able to acquire a Working With Children's Check.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate.
