About the Role

Mattel, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Brand Manager to join our Marketing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of go-to-market plans for our designated brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Annual Marketing Plans: Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve long-term growth and align with global priorities and targets.
  • Evaluate and Adapt Plans: Continuously assess and refine marketing plans to ensure they remain effective in response to changing market conditions, business needs, and key objectives.
  • Analyse Market Research: Interpret marketing, trade, and consumer research data to inform recommendations on pricing, promotions, distribution channels, advertising, and competition.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure local requirements are considered in product development, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Review Sales Performance: Analyse weekly POS, NPD, and sales data to identify areas for improvement and recommend adjustments to pricing, media, and product mix.
  • Set A&P Plans: Establish high-level advertising and promotion plans, working closely with Brand Managers and Coordinators to ensure accurate budgeting and execution.
  • Brand Objectives: Develop and implement local brand objectives that align with short- and long-term strategies, ensuring global targets are met.
  • Collaborate with Sales: Work closely with Mattel Sales to identify opportunities for growth and develop plans to drive year-over-year sales increases.
  • Lead Marketing Efforts: Oversee marketing initiatives from a business unit perspective, working closely with the Sales BU lead to ensure business financial targets are met.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Brand Manager.
  • Proven ability to find answers through data analysis.
  • Experience working with retailers to build and execute plans.
  • Experience partnering with Sales Teams for shared results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
