Are you passionate about fire safety and community engagement? We're seeking an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our team at the Country Fire Authority (CFA) in a key role that supports the sustainability of our brigades.

The successful candidate will work closely with our field teams, identifying local issues affecting volunteers and brigades, and delivering tailored solutions across catchments, districts, or the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustaining Brigade Viability: Assist brigades to maintain viability through direct support and collaboration.
  • Delivering Sustainable Solutions: Develop and implement projects that enhance brigade sustainability and promote sustainable volunteerism.
  • Mentoring and Coaching: Provide guidance and support to small groups, including mentoring and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Risk Management: Identify and analyze risks, developing relevant mitigation strategies and solutions to ensure the success of our initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in a social sciences or humanities discipline, or equivalent experience in volunteer management.
  • Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the success of our organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze problems, developing effective solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders.
