About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Theatre Technician to join our Perioperative Services team at John Fawkner Private Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist nursing staff in the delivery of safe and compassionate care
  • Transport patients to and from the ward
  • Assist with the safe positioning and immediate preoperative preparation of the patient
  • Assist with positioning and connection of equipment in the theatre as required
  • Maintain a sterile environment
  • Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices
  • Adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the efficient, effective, and economic running of the Perioperative Services team
Essential Criteria
  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Theatre Technician
  • Working with Children check
  • Commitment to service excellence
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support)
