About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Support Services Assistant to join our team at John Fawkner Private Hospital. As a Support Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all hospital areas, adhering to infection control and WHS protocols, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure that all hospital areas are clean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Infection Control and WHS: Adhere to infection control and WHS protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintenance and Equipment: Maintain equipment and ensure proper use of chemicals.
  • Participation in Food Services: Participate in food services, including delivery and preparation.
  • Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service to staff, clients, and patients.

Essential Criteria:

  • Authority to Work: Authority to work in Australia.
  • Experience: Experience in cleaning, patient transferring, and food delivery/preparation (desirable).
  • Working with Children Check: Working with Children check (if relevant).
  • Service Excellence: Commitment to service excellence.
  • Time Management and Prioritisation: Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Work well independently and within a team.
  • Availability: Available for on-call shifts.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include discounted health insurance, gym memberships, salary packaging, and more.
