About the Role

This full-time or part-time position offers a competitive salary of $123,620 - $145,730 (Level B) per annum, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading. You will be based in Kensington, NSW, with flexible working arrangements available.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice on Indigenous data governance, collaborating with researchers and industry partners to co-design, develop and implement policies, procedures and systems. You will also nurture relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge holders and organisations, strengthening existing partnerships and building new connections.

Your primary focus will be on establishing a consultation process with industry on Indigenous data governance for the cultural data sector. You will play a key role in the development and trajectory of the Australian Cultural Heritage Facility (ACHF) project, ensuring it achieves its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

About the Project

The ACHF is a national research infrastructure project developed by researchers at the UNSW School of the Arts & Media in collaboration with the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) and industry partners. The project aims to secure and augment Australia's cultural data.

Accountabilities
  • Provide expertise in Indigenous data governance to support the co-design, development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems across ACHF infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Indigenous leads at university and industry partners
  • Nurture trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge holders and organisations, strengthen existing partnerships and build new connections where relevant
  • Establish and manage a consultation process with industry on Indigenous data governance for the cultural data sector
  • Play a key role in the development and trajectory of the ACHF project to ensure it achieves its KPIs
