UNSW Australia is seeking an Indigenous Research Professional
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with researchers at the UNSW School of the Arts & Media and industry partners across the country.
The Indigenous Research Fellow (Identified) provides expertise in Indigenous data governance, collaborating with both Indigenous leads and industry partners.
The position involves attending the office in-person at least two days a week, with flexible work-from-home options for the remaining days.
This role is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expertise in Indigenous data governance to support the co-design, development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems across ACHF infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Indigenous leads at university and industry partners.
- Nurture trusted relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge holders and organisations.
- Establish and manage a consultation process with industry on Indigenous data governance for the cultural data sector.
- Play a key role in the development and trajectory of the ACHF project to ensure it achieves its KPIs.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous data governance principles and practices, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.
A competitive salary package of $123,620 - $145,730 (Level B) full time equivalent, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
About the Role:This is a part-time or full-time opportunity, with a duration of 3.8 years.
The location is Kensington NSW, with flexible working arrangements available.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their expertise in Indigenous data governance and their ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
