Procurement Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to take ownership of procurement and purchasing activities across the organisation.

We are seeking a skilled purchasing specialist to perform and manage procurement, sourcing and contracting processes.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams and stakeholders to understand and address procurement needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and negotiate contracts that meet business requirements.
  • Respond quickly to changing procurement requirements and project needs.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and laws.
  • Conduct market analysis and research to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively to handle multiple procurement activities simultaneously.

Key qualifications include:

  • Equivalent experience or a qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Contracting, Business, Commerce, Law, or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years prior relevant procurement and/or purchasing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
  • Ability to create impactful presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint for stakeholders.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively to handle multiple procurement activities at once.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
  • Advanced understanding and ability to use software/online based procurement/purchasing management systems.
