Our company is seeking an accomplished Senior Cost Estimator to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead the cost estimation process, from tendering through to project completion. This involves creating accurate cost plans, obtaining quotes, and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project profitability and competitiveness.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender proposals for commercial fitout projects. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in shop fitouts and knowledge of Australian construction practices.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender proposals for commercial fitout projects.
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and scope alignment.
  • Provide cost input during design development, offering value engineering insights where needed.
  • Work closely with project and design teams to support financial accuracy through all project phases.
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and historical cost benchmarks.
  • Assist with progress claims and cost-to-complete reports during construction delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of shop fitouts and Australian construction practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or other relevant software applications.
