The role:

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Commercial Estimator to manage estimating and pricing activities across a range of intelligent transport systems (ITS) projects throughout Australia and New Zealand. You will play a critical role in developing cost effective and competitive estimates to secure new projects and support successful business growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for each solution/portfolio of Yunex Traffic.
• Prepare pricing documentation and submit bids in line with client requirements and deadlines.
• Review and interpret RFP (Request for Proposal) documents to assess project requirements and constraints.
• Obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate them based on technical and commercial criteria
• Identify cost, schedule and risks during the estimation phase and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Actively collaborate with cross functional teams during the bid and handover phases.
• Ensure all estimates comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, Yunex company policies and procedures
• Ensure all required approvals are received in accordance with Yunex LoA (Limits of Authority) prior to bid submission.
• Provide feedback and lessons learned to the Yunex Management team and key departments.

The successful candidate demonstrates following experience & skills:

• Education / University degree in a related commercial and/or technical field
• Previous experience in cost estimation, preferably in ITS or related industries.
• Familiarity with ITS components and technologies
• Proficiency in excel. Power BI knowledge will be beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
• Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills
