We are seeking a Volunteer Engagement Manager to join our team

The ideal candidate will have experience in volunteer engagement, be highly organized and skilled at recruitment and onboarding, with a focus on volunteer engagement. They will also possess strong admin, IT, and reporting skills.

This is a part-time role (4 days a week) based at our Moorabbin Distribution Centre, with regular visits to our 10 Op Shop locations across the region, and occasional work at our Sandringham and Frankston offices.

About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Coordinating recruitment and onboarding including advertising, interviewing, screening and training.
    • Maintaining regular communication with volunteers through check-ins and ongoing engagement.
    • Delivering volunteer inductions and training sessions.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, especially Social Enterprise staff, to ensure effective engagement and communication.
    • Assisting volunteer supervisors with local engagement and providing guidance on policies and procedures as needed.
    • Developing partnerships with local referral pathways (e.g., councils, schools) to promote recruitment.
    • Ensuring quality assurance of all volunteering activities and keeping documentation up to date.
    • Maintaining accurate volunteer records in the Salesforce Volunteer Management system.
    • Efficiently managing all administrative tasks related to volunteer management.

    • You will be highly motivated and passionate about community engagement and volunteer development.
    • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with volunteers, staff, and external partners.
    • You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and initiative.
    • You will have a strong commitment to customer service and be able to provide excellent support to volunteers and clients.
