10% gap discount for childcare services with Uniting Early Learning Your new role As a Volunteer Coordinator you will provide an active service model with the emphasis on coordinating, recruiting, training, supporting and retaining volunteers to assist consumers to participate in everyday activities, maintain or rebuild confidence, improve social connectedness and emotional wellbeing, and stay active and healthy.You will lead implementation of processes for engaging volunteers, participants and carers in the ongoing development, review and evaluation of activities.
Refer to individual's goals, take account of diversity and the needs and preferences of participants when planning programs and activities.
You will oversee and, as required, participate in capacity building and social inclusion activities for participants.

Your skills and experience To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a tertiary qualification in Disability, Social Work, Community Services or a related discipline and experience working with vulnerable peopleYou will also have:Current Valid Victorian Drivers Licence.Current first aid and CPR certificatesPrevious experience in volunteer coordination and support roles, including experience in recruiting, training and supervising volunteersProven ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a volunteer workforce in a manner that recognises their contributionsDemonstrated experience working with vulnerable peopleAbility to coordinate capacity building and social inclusion activities for people with all abilitiesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to form effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders View the position description here.
