We are looking for an energetic Volunteer & Customer Engagement Manager to lead BaseCamp's front-line engagement. This role blends volunteer management with customer service excellence to ensure patrons enjoy a seamless experience. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating volunteers while simultaneously managing patron communication channels.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for pre-event setup, live event operations, and pack-down.

  • Oversee volunteer welfare, motivation, and recognition programs.

  • Develop and execute customer engagement strategies, including FAQs, info desk management, and mobile response teams.

  • Coordinate with the Dream Catcher ticketing and wallet system to manage customer interactions and support.

  • Resolve customer complaints on-site and online, ensuring swift, empathetic service.

  • Collect feedback from volunteers and patrons for continuous improvement.

**Skills & Requirements:**

  • Previous experience in volunteer management, hospitality, or event customer service.

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.

  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Passion for festivals, live events, and community engagement.

**Reporting Line:** Reports directly to the BaseCamp Executive Director and collaborates with Operations, Sanitation/Food, and Marketing managers.

BaseCamp is New Zealand's first fully mobile, digitally enabled festival accommodation and lifestyle village. We provide modular camping solutions that travel city to city, delivering secure, sustainable, and community-driven facilities. Our infrastructure covers grey water, toilets, showers, power, and food retail through our GroGcer concept. With digital identity verification, perimeter security, and our own ticketing and digital wallet system through Dream Catcher, BaseCamp offers a seamless experience for patrons while acting as a turnkey partner for festivals or as an independent side-by-side operator.
