Volunteer Engagement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Engagement Specialist to support our community health services. The successful candidate will work closely with managers and staff to develop innovative volunteer programs that add value to our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain a positive culture for volunteers in our community health services.
  • Manage the human resource aspect of delivering a volunteer service, including recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and placement of volunteers.
  • Support, recognise, and reward volunteers as appropriate.
  • Oversight of the administration of the service, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.

Requirements:

  • A relevant human services qualification and/or significant experience working within a community service environment.
  • Experience in coordinating and/or managing volunteer programs and services.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a range of activities, set priorities, and work independently to achieve agreed performance objectives.
  • A current Victorian Driver's License.
