Seeking an experienced claims professional to join our growing organisation.

We are a leading workers compensation and personal injury claims management business, dedicated to helping people get their lives back through ongoing support during their return-to-work journey.

The opportunity exists for a senior team member to set the standard in claims management while guiding and supporting others around you through mentoring and coaching colleagues and leading by example to create a culture of collaboration.

This is a full-time, permanent position with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week once fully trained. This role can be based from any Australian office with a generous relocation allowance on offer for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve the optimum outcome of early and sustainable return to work with reasonable claim costs
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, rehab providers and other stakeholders to create an effective Return to Work strategy
  • Assist the worker and employer with the claim process, providing support, managing expectations and ensuring timely access to required services to support return to work and injury recovery
  • Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policies while undertaking ongoing reviews in relation to entitlements and payments
  • Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the team

About You

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme is mandatory
  • You must currently be residing in New Zealand to be eligible for relocation bonus
  • An empathetic, resilient and motivational approach to provide customer centric support
  • A driven professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Careful consideration to detail with a high concern for accuracy to manage stakeholder engagement
  • A team player who likes to work collaboratively and can also work independently
