We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to fill a Claims Specialist position.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing in-depth analysis and advice on threshold coverage, particularly where characterization, policy interpretation, exclusion operation, or disclosure issues may arise.
- Timely and courteous verbal and written reviews and responses to broker clients.
- Collaborating with key legal partners to investigate and determine liability, quantum, and a tailored strategy for resolution.
- Establishing timely and accurate reserves.
- Where applicable, instructing, directing, and closely managing key legal partnerships on claims.
- Attending broker and client meetings to discuss claims narratives and outcomes.
- Participating in mediation when required.
- Discussing claims and defence strategies with Head of Financial Lines Claims and team leads.
- Liaising with third-party administrators regarding notifications.
- Discussions with Underwriters on past and current claims, providing advice on renewal and new business as needed.
- Assisting Underwriters in obtaining new business and maintaining existing broker relationships.
- Negotiating with multi-participant tower insurer markets.
- Providing Underwriter training when necessary.
- Offering timely and accurate internal updates and advice on individual claims portfolios.
We seek an insurance professional with 3+ years of experience in Financial Lines claims management, who is a confident communicator and passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients.
