Job Opportunity: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Role Overview:

Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team. As a key member of the department, you will provide high-quality patient care, lead a team of Registrars and JMOs, and contribute to the development of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as required.
  • Attend and be available during rostered work hours and whilst on-call, including clinical handover, clinical supervision, teaching and emergency care.
  • Contribute to education and research initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) and/or specialist registration with AHPRA.
  • Recent and comprehensive experience in Orthopaedic Surgery, demonstrating medical expertise.
  • The ability to maintain medical professional development and assist other staff, including trainees, in acquiring and developing knowledge.
