We are seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an accomplished medical professional to provide high-quality patient care, education, and research in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional clinical services, including admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as required by HNELHD.
- Attend and be available during rostered work hours and whilst on-call, ensuring timely clinical handover, supervision, teaching, and emergency and routine care as determined by HNELHD.
- Contribute to education and research initiatives as per HNELHD's directives.
To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:
- Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) and/or specialist registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated expertise in Orthopaedic Surgery, reflected in recent and comprehensive experience.
- The ability to maintain medical professional development, assist other staff, and facilitate knowledge acquisition and development among trainees.
- Skillful communication, encompassing both oral and written abilities, to effectively interact with patients, students, healthcare professionals, and the public.
- A collaborative mindset, enabling seamless networking and operation within an interdisciplinary framework, as well as working with various stakeholders across diverse settings.
- Leadership and management experience, coupled with adaptability in a rapidly changing health environment.
- A commitment to continuous professional development, peer review, and clinical governance.
- An advocate for improving individual and societal health, contributing to advancements in these areas.
