Orthopaedic Surgeon Position

We seek an experienced consultant to lead our orthopaedic department at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department's activities, including elective surgery, trauma theatre, and clinics. They will also provide education and support to registrars.

  • Deliver admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as required by HNELHD.
  • Maintain high levels of availability during rostered work hours and while on-call.
  • Promote medical professional development and assist other staff, including trainees.
  • Utilize effective communication skills, both oral and written, to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Lead and manage a dynamic team within a changing health system.
