**Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Wanted**

Job Opportunity:

We seek an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing comprehensive clinical services including admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call duties as required.
  • Attending and being available during rostered work hours and whilst on-call, including clinical handover, clinical supervision, teaching, and emergency and routine care.
  • Contributing to the education and research of the hospital as determined by management.
Requirements:
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) and/or specialist registration with AHPRA.
  • Recent and extensive experience in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Ability to assist other staff, including trainees, in acquiring and developing knowledge and skills.
  • Skilled communication, both oral and written, with patients, students, other healthcare professionals, and the public.
  • Ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework and to work with other stakeholders in various settings.
  • Past leadership and management experience and previous safety and quality improvement activities.
  • Continued professional development, peer review, and other forms of clinical governance.
  • Contributions to improving individual and societal health.
