About Community Liaison Roles

As a Community Liaison Officer, you will develop strategies for effective links between home and school related issues. You will facilitate opportunities for raising parental concerns and advocate equity of service provision.

Mandatory requirements include holding a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by relevant authorities.

The role involves administrative tasks, including clerical duties related to writing and responding to correspondence. You will assist in recruiting and resourcing volunteer help, including the coordination of a volunteer program.

You will plan and deliver public presentations, informing and educating parents and community members/groups about educational trends and policies. You will establish and monitor school and community networks relevant to the position's role.

You will maintain a register of community and classroom helpers and relevant information for parents/carers. This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
