Position Overview

The role of the Project Coordination Officer is integral to the Governance & Resource Management Group within the Grants, Data and Assurance Division. This position is classified at APS 4, with a salary range of $74,012 - $84,472. The opportunity is available for both ongoing and non-ongoing engagements, accommodating full-time and part-time arrangements.

About the Division

The Grants, Data and Assurance Division plays a pivotal role in overseeing the Australian Government Assurance Reviews Process. This division spearheads initiatives that leverage data to enhance policy-making and service delivery while optimizing governmental resources. The team provides essential policy guidance to the Minister for Finance and facilitates collaboration across Commonwealth agencies and with state and territory governments to maximize the impact of data and digital innovations.

Role Responsibilities

The Project Coordination Officer will be tasked with:

  • Managing the daily coordination of Assurance Reviews, collaborating closely with Commonwealth agencies to offer advice, support, and administrative assistance leading up to each review.
  • Overseeing multiple concurrent reviews, engaging independent review teams through established procurement methods, arranging travel for reviewers, preparing meeting agendas, and maintaining the team's database.
  • Interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders, both within and outside the government.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of team processes by modernizing business frameworks and systems.
