Job Description

Job Title: Project Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Officer to join our team at the Parliament of Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage infrastructure projects, including research and analysis of relevant activities for project milestones.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, including budget tracking and scheduled payment of invoices.
  • Coordinate project service providers, including contractors and consultants, to ensure project briefs and outcomes are effectively developed, managed, and delivered.
  • Be the point of contact for general and stakeholder enquiries regarding allocated projects.
  • Assist in ensuring project governance requirements are met and filed in accordance with the established framework.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in Project Management and/or other relevant areas.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to undertake work with a high level of complexity and sensitivity.
  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with Commonwealth guidelines and legislative frameworks.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $86,137 - $92,412 per annum.
