Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team at Followmont Transport Pty Ltd. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support to our staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, and collaborating with our IT team to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide first-line technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Install, configure, and update hardware and software across the organization, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  3. Support remote workers by troubleshooting VPN, connectivity, and other technical issues, ensuring seamless access to company resources.
  4. Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, procedures, and solutions, ensuring easy access and reference for team members.
  5. Collaborate with third-party vendors for specialized support and equipment, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  6. Provide training and assistance to employees on IT tools and best practices, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  7. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights on internal systems, ensuring secure and controlled access.
  8. Assist in IT projects and contribute to improving IT processes and strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  9. Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in an IT support role, with a strong understanding of technical concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.
  2. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking protocols, and troubleshooting tools.
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and Exchange, with experience in implementing and managing these systems.
  4. Knowledge of IT security best practices, with a focus on data protection and compliance.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
