About the Role

This is a challenging but rewarding role that will give you the opportunity to work on complex transactions and manage day-to-day portfolio activities. You'll collaborate with relationship directors and global product specialists to deliver exceptional client service.

The Melbourne Large Corporates team serves public and private companies, partnering with relationship directors to execute complex transactions and manage day-to-day portfolio activities.

You'll have the opportunity to apply your credit analysis and financial modelling skills to high-profile clients across diverse industries. This role is ideal for those passionate about commercial banking, eager to develop into a relationship director over time.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop industry knowledge, including local and global dynamics.
  2. Collaborate with global product specialists to provide tailored solutions.
  3. Ensure compliance with credit policies, financial crime and regulatory requirements.
  4. Support facility documentation, internal and external legal counsel as needed.
  5. Coordinate with Portfolio Service Executives on administrative tasks.

To succeed, you'll bring:

  • Experience in corporate/institutional finance, understanding key products like bilateral loans, debt capital markets and trade finance.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills, ability to write comprehensive credit papers under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with APLMA loan documentation and Australian security structures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, self-motivation and commitment to success.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
