Category Strategy Manager


Job Description

As a Category Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving category success through strategic planning and market insights. Your primary responsibility will be to build knowledge and input into the design of strategies for long-term category success.

You will assist in driving category projections and solutions by utilizing Market, Customer, Shopper, and Consumer insights. Additionally, you will support guiding the business for Long-Range Planning (LRP) and long-term growth based on market and key assumptions.

It is essential that short-term plans are aligned to the long-term strategy and vision, being informed and resolving or elevating where required.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive category success.
  • Utilize market insights to inform category projections and solutions.
  • Support the development of long-term growth strategies.
  • Ensure alignment between short-term and long-term plans.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand and share local and global trends, influences, and possible disruptors.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Current knowledge of and experience with developing strategic plans in the Food or FMCG industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and analyze detailed financial information and reports.
  • Demonstrated business judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in managing change that impacts both the team and broader business.
