As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs of our residents.

About the Role

The Personal Care Worker is responsible for supporting residents to live their lives as they choose, allowing them to exercise choice and independence. This involves assessing and observing the needs and wants of residents, implementing clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and assisting with personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents to maintain their dignity and self-esteem.
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene needs, promoting independence where possible.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans.
  • Provide holistic care that meets the physical, emotional and social needs of residents.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals with dementia.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands.
  • Flexibility, empathy and patience when interacting with residents and their families.
