Job Title:

Disability Support Worker

">Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to empower and assist people in achieving their goals, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life. This role requires empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

The primary responsibility is to provide direct support and care to individuals, respecting their unique needs and preferences. This includes assisting with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.

Additional responsibilities include mobility assistance, helping individuals maintain or improve their physical health through exercises and the use of mobility aids. It also involves monitoring and documenting individual progress, reporting any changes in their physical or emotional well-being.

Supporting individuals in accessing and participating in social and recreational activities is also a key aspect of this role. Accurate and detailed records must be maintained and reports submitted on all support and care provided.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Cert III or IV in Disability Support
  • First Aid & CPR (Regularly updated before expiry)
  • National Police Check (Completed within the last 12 months and updated every 3 years)
  • Working with Children Checks
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Disability Support Worker.

Licence/Certification:

National Police Certificate.
