Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality support and services that enable individuals with disabilities to lead independent lives, engage within their communities, and achieve their life goals.

This position involves providing domestic and personal care, transportation assistance, academic support, medication management, building on individual strengths, community participation, group centre activities, and using a hoist in a responsible and safe manner.

About the Role

As a disability support worker, you will play a critical role in assisting participants to achieve their life goals and becoming independent. This requires strong communication skills, a commitment to providing exceptional support, and a passion for empowering individuals with disabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing domestic and personal care
  • Transportation assistance

  • Building on individual strengths and enabling individuals to reach their goals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current Police Check, Working with Children Check, or NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A current driver's licence
  • A car, registration, and insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR training
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • NDIS Infection Control Module
  • Cert 4 in Disability or Cert 4 in Individual Support
  • A commitment to providing exceptional support and being fully vaccinated

Great communication skills are essential for this role, and being fully vaccinated is mandatory.
