Content Writer for Mental Health Therapies

Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a highly skilled Content Writer to join our Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in developing and evaluating new therapeutic content for our online mental health service, Mental Health Online.
About the RoleThe Clinical Content Writer position offers a unique chance to be part of a cutting-edge online mental health service funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. As a key member of our team, you will facilitate the creation and revision of content for Mental Health Online treatment programs, working closely with clinical experts and service users to ensure the highest quality outcomes.
You will also support research, quality, and evaluation activities related to clinical content, including obtaining feedback from service users and contributing to reports and publications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and evaluate new therapeutic content for Mental Health Online treatment programs
- Collaborate with clinical experts and service users to ensure high-quality content
- Support research, quality, and evaluation activities related to clinical content
- Obtain feedback from service users and contribute to reports and publications
- Demonstrated understanding of interventions for high-prevalence mental health disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression)
- High degree of organisational and administrative skills, with capacity to prioritise workload and coordinate multiple demands
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication
- Experience delivering cognitive behavioural therapies (preferable for Level A, essential for Level B)
- (Level A) Completion of Honours in psychology or equivalent qualifications and/or experience relevant to mental health
- (Level B) Postgraduate qualifications in psychology, counselling, social work or equivalent
- (Level B) Registration with the relevant professional body (Psychology board of Australia, AASW, PACFA/ACA)
