Our Mental Health Division offers a range of occupational therapy opportunities, from acute inpatient services to community-based programs. As an occupational therapist at Northern Health, you will have the chance to work across various settings, including emergency mental health, hospital outreach post-suicidal engagement (HOPE), and prevention and recovery care service (PARC).

Our salary package includes a competitive remuneration, which is estimated to be around $85,000-$115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible work arrangements, extra leave options, and support for ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to consumers with complex mental health needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct assessments, interventions, and evaluations to optimize consumer outcomes
- Develop and maintain relationships with consumers, families, and carers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy (Master's or Bachelor's degree)
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience in mental health occupational therapy practice (at least 2 years)
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
