About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our esteemed team at the Infant, Child & Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS). This role offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and young people aged 4-25 years, who are struggling with mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, interventions, case management, outreach, and therapy for children and young people experiencing various mental health challenges.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that cater to the diverse needs of clients, prioritizing family involvement and empowerment.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and speech pathologists, to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements:
- Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, along with membership in the appropriate professional body (e.g., Nurses & Midwifery Board, Occupational Therapy Board, Psychology Board, Speech Pathology Australia via AHPRA).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience (7 years for Nurses), demonstrating expertise in mental health assessment, intervention, and case management.
- Appropriate work visa and current Victorian Driver's License.
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one and undergo a Background Check.
