Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Government Relations Professional to lead our government relations efforts in Western Australia.

This is a key role that requires building strong partnerships with government stakeholders and advocating for social issues. As a trusted advisor, you will influence policy through submissions, consultations, and strategic advice.

You will represent the organisation in key forums, contributing to positive policy outcomes that advance economic justice, housing, family violence prevention, and reconciliation.

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, combined with proven experience in government relations, public affairs, or a related area.
  • A strong understanding of the political landscape, legislative and policy-making processes in WA.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with government representatives, Ministers' offices, elected members, and key stakeholders.
  • Experience influencing policy through submissions, consultations, and strategic advice.

This is a permanent opportunity, working between 22.5 and 37.5 hours per week. Based in East Perth, you will be part of a great team culture and flexible working environment.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary from $126,481 (pro-rata if part-time) plus 12% super and salary packaging.

Additionally, we offer:

  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax).
  • Annual leave, personal leave, purchase leave, and long service leave.
