Location: Newcastle (3 days a week, Tuesday to Thursday)

Contract Duration: 6-9 months (potential for extension)

Daily Rate: $450 incl. super

About the Role:

The Project Support Officer will play a vital role in providing administrative support to project managers, ensuring the smooth execution of projects. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project managers with financial and administrative tasks
  • Process purchase orders and assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Conduct monthly quality control exercises to ensure compliance
  • Assist in refining risk processes and governance within the projects
  • Coordinate and chase project deliverables where necessary

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar project support or project officer role
  • Experience in process improvement and governance
  • Ability to work closely with Project Managers and provide advice and support
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a cohesive team
