Events Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Events Coordinator to join our team at Katherine Town Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-quality events that showcase the Katherine community's spirit and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an annual events calendar that aligns with Council's strategic objectives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and deliver events that meet organisational needs
- Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, and event promotion
- Work closely with the Communications team to manage event marketing and promotional materials
- Research and identify new event opportunities that engage the Katherine community
- Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with legislative and statutory requirements
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in event planning, coordination, or a related role
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
