About the Role

The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Sport Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, engaging with schools, sporting organizations, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with legislative, policy, and procedural requirements.
  • Operate and maintain administrative and financial management systems, including processing accounts receivable and payable, receiving and banking monies, processing payments, providing reports, and reconciling accounts.
  • Responsible for end-of-period/year balancing and rollovers, including BAS/taxation requirements.
  • Prioritize and schedule work commitments to meet non-negotiable deadlines as directed by School Sport Calendars.
  • Provide administrative support to the Regional School Sport Officer, the Regional School Sport Board, and regional school sport officials, including maintenance of office systems and procedures.
  • Liaise with and provide effective interpersonal communications to develop and enhance school community partnerships with regard to sport activities.
