We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef to join our team at Sporting Globe. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for leadership, consistency, and teamwork, with a strong focus on producing high-quality food in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant and pub environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of our menu items, adhering to best practice systems and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen hygiene. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will work closely with our experienced Head Chef to train, coach, and develop your colleagues, while performing day-to-day kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of chefs to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menu items, ensuring consistency and quality across all locations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen standards, including cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene.
  • Train and coach junior chefs to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful work environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or pub environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve high-quality food standards.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
