Job Opportunity for a Contract Administrator

A highly challenging and rewarding position is available for an experienced Contract Administrator with 3 to 7 years of experience in the Australian building construction industry.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of diverse projects, contributing to impactful infrastructure that shapes communities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and administer head contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Establish and maintain accurate cost control systems, including project budgeting, forecasting, and managing payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare, track, and value variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and progress claims, ensuring all documentation is accurate and agreed upon.
  • Identify and assess potential commercial and contractual risks, providing guidance and support to the project team on mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Maintain comprehensive and audit-ready records of all contractual documents, correspondence, and registers.
  • Ensure all contractual documents and project activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 7 years of experience as a Contract Administrator in the Australian building construction industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working on projects ranging from $20 million to $90 million, ideally within the education, aged care, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Jobpac, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
