About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade and Investment Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in developing relationships with Australian capital and FDI investors, identifying opportunities for investment into the UK, and managing relationships with potential investors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Australian capital and FDI investors, identifying opportunities for investment into the UK.
  • Manage relationships with potential investors, including Australian superfunds and asset managers, and feed into our capital investment strategy.
  • Support potential FDI investors with business set-up assistance, sector information, and guidance on location and expansion plans.
  • Manage existing and new accounts with the Senior Business Relationship Manager (Capital Investment).
  • Work across the Australia and global networks to deliver a joined-up UK government proposition.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop trust and business relationships across government and industry.
  • Good judgement and discretion, with the ability to deal with confidential commercial data.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities of value to the UK.
  • Strong sense of collaboration and ability to work within a team, while maintaining a strong degree of ownership of your sector.
