**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Team Member to join our hotel team. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality meals and ensuring that the hotel's kitchens maintain the highest standards.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the kitchen staff to prepare and cook meals, manage food storage facilities, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. You will also be responsible for monitoring food quality and quantity, as well as attending to guests' needs and desires immediately.

**Responsibilities:**

  1. Prepare sauces, soups, and hot dishes for service and special functions
  2. Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge for every item on the Hotel's menus
  3. Monitor food quality and quantity as it relates to portion control
  4. Monitor all food storage facilities to ensure that proper storage techniques are being used and that the cleanliness standards of the Hotel are being maintained
  5. Requisition the appropriate amount of food product in accordance with the established Hotel policies and procedures
  6. Complete all work responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner
  7. Ensure that all standard recipes are followed in all outlets
  8. Maintain your self-appearance in accordance with the hotel's grooming standards
  9. Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team
  10. Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge with regard to food product
  11. Comply with all of the established hotel operational policies & procedures
  12. Maintain a clean & safe working environment
  13. Have a full knowledge of, and practice all of the hotel's established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S)
  14. Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
  15. Attend all scheduled meetings
  16. Perform any other duties as directed by the Executive Chef/Sous Chef
