Job Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and talented culinary professional to join our kitchen team at a resort in the Hunter Valley. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef ready to take on leadership responsibilities and deliver exceptional dining experiences.

  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Lead and supervise sections of the kitchen during service
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and menu development
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with food safety standards
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to support team growth

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar, ready to step up
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for high-quality food
  • Ability to lead a section and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
  • Relevant trade qualifications in commercial cookery
