Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Injury Manager to lead a team of Health and Wellbeing Advisors in implementing early intervention strategies, managing issues and risks, and driving improvements in injury management performance.

  • Develop and implement return to work measures through supporting a broader team of Health and Wellbeing Advisors who specialise in injury management and return to work outcomes for injured team members
  • Provide expert advice by identifying and interpreting complex issues, patterns, and trends, and making recommendations to improve injury management outcomes through alternative RTW strategies
  • Drive alignment of the health and wellbeing team to ensure streamlined and best-practice injury management support is provided to injured team members (claim and pre-claim support)
  • In collaboration with State Safety Managers, provide leadership, coaching, and specialist advice to health and wellbeing advisors and senior leaders to assist them in managing complex workers' compensation claims, return to work matters, and adverse injury management performance
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and provide practical guidance on how to achieve improvement targets set
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with 5-10 years of experience in injury management and return to work, preferably in a self-insurer. A health-related degree is a requirement, along with strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills. Australian Drivers Licence is also required. Experience across multiple state jurisdictions would be an advantage.
