Work Health and Safety Specialist - Based onsite, you will take ownership of WHS requirements for three private facilities. As a key member of the national Work Health and Safety team, your focus will be on mental health support.
The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in early intervention, claims, and injury management activities.
You will participate and contribute to risk management activities, including facilitating risk assessments, developing standard operating procedures, conducting control verification, and leading complex investigations.
This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for your facilities and work closely with General Managers to drive positive change.
- Safety Assurance: Coordinate site WHS assurance activities, coach managers and leaders, and participate in regulator inspections pertaining to WHS.
- Operational Safety: Identify operational safety issues and provide advice and assistance in identifying opportunities and solutions that enhance safety outcomes.
- Risk Management: Participate and contribute to risk management activities, including facilitating risk assessments and developing standard operating procedures.
Key responsibilities include building capability across stakeholders to implement and embed Safety and Wellbeing processes and programs. Experience required for success includes qualification within Work, Health and Safety, several years holding a role within work health and safety, driver's license, and ability to work 5 days a week onsite at facilities.
